Norma Jean Sanders (Props/Set Dec/Greens)

We are saddened to inform the membership of the passing of Norma Jean Sanders (Props/Set Decoration/Greens), on Sunday, November 26, 2017.

Norma Jean Sanders

After a brief but very courageous battle with cancer, Norma Jean Sanders passed away peacefully at her home with her family at her side on November 26, 2017.

Beloved daughter of her loving parents Norman and the late Marjorie Jean Sanders, cherished sister to Roberta Archibald and husband Peter, Lorne and wife Val, Leslie-Anne, John and wife Amy. Loving aunt to Andrew, Alex, Luc, Shea, Emily, Elizabeth, Georgia, and great aunt to Lily. Devoted companion to her dear friend Bernard and beloved cat Stella.

Norma-Jean was a highly accomplished Set Decorator and Buyer with over thirty years experience. She was awarded an Emmy for the movie Grey Gardens and nominated for a Genie for the film New Waterford Girl. Other highlights include A Long Day’s Journey into Night, Kids in the Hall, Trudeau, and her work on the successful TV shows Suits and very recently Designated Survivor. She was a mentor to many in the film community and was highly regarded by her colleagues.

Norma-Jean will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved her. She will be remembered for her charm, generosity, fearless spirit, courage, keen intellect, fierce independence, great sense of humour and love of life (and a glass of good red wine).

A celebration of Norma-Jean’s life will be held at the Spoke Club (600 King Street West) on December 16th, from 2-5 pm.

We would like to extend special thanks to Dr. Mark Bernstein, Fiona Martins, Kerri Hughes and the rest of the palliative care team, as well, Metaxia Psarrologos.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Healthy Tree Fund www.glenwoodcemetary.ca, birdscanada.org, or The Taylor Cup (Benefiting Princess Margaret Hospital) in Norma's name would be greatly appreciated.

Shane Rozon

April 17, 1964 - December 14, 2016
Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Shane Rozon, from a massive pulmonary embolism, on December 14, 2016. Though he rarely said the words, he was a man with a big heart, and was passionate about the people that mattered most to him. Those that were closest understood the depth of his commitment to them. His passions and curiosity extended into other areas, and he was never hesitant to engage in lively conversations, sharing opinions and debating the merits of a particular issue. His avid interest in computers often made him an informal consultant and tech advisor to those around him. He is survived by his mother Marjorie Rozon, and will be missed by many.

There will be a memorial gathering at York Funeral Centre on Wednesday December 28, 2016 from 4 - 8 pm (160 Beecroft Avenue at Sheppard and Yonge). A celebration of his life will be held in the spring of 2017.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Ontario Lung Association.

HILTON J. ROSEMARIN Hilton died at home on Sunday, May 8, of brain cancer. He leaves behind his broken hearted partner Philippa King and their two daughters Chloe (Adam) and Astrid (Andrew). Dear son of Anne Rosemarin and brother of Freya Schnitzler (Larry) and Arno Rosemarin. He was much loved and will be terribly missed by his extended family of aunts, cousins, nephews, nieces, his brother-in-law Andrew King and sister-in-law Jennifer King, as well as Maaret Koskinen. Hilton studied music and theatre in Montreal, where he was born on June 16, 1952, and studied technical theatre at Ryerson University in Toronto.
